If you could ask anyone to lunch, who would it be?

Pierce Brown. He is my favorite author and has an incredibly creative mind. I think we could be fast friends because we have the same sense of humor. I want a good friend to enjoy our time together.

What’s your favorite quote?

“I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I am not bound to succeed, but I am bound to live by the light that I have. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.” – Abraham Lincoln

What’s the funniest thing someone has said to you?

When I played high school football our coach used to tell us, “Way to be” any time we did something good. It became something of an inside joke. What does that saying even mean? Good, great, bad, terrible, it could be any or all of those. Perhaps it’s existential, as in way to BE or a way to exist? It’s such a perfect phrase and such a useless phrase, both at the same time. You can use it to describe anything and to mean anything. I love it. So, if you ever hear me saying “way to be” I’m probably trolling you.
