Rich Kopcho is a Marketing and Business Development entrepreneur who created or joined 16 startups.
His experience comprises International Marketing, Business Development (Americas, Europe and A/P), Product Management, R&D project management (hardware and software) at Hewlett Packard (who acquired a startup he joined). He is recognized in the top 2% of 45,000 marketing professionals scored in the Marketing Excellence Survey covering all phases of strategy and tactical execution.
His early career in operations and manufacturing prepared him for Managing Partner of an international manufacturing consultancy to Fortune 100 clients including British Aerospace, Honeywell Aerospace, Scientific Atlanta, Celestica Int’l and others. He is world renowned among custom manufacturers.
He actively mentors entrepreneurial students at the University of Colorado, Boulder in the New Venture Challenge and Colorado State University, Fort Collins in the Venture Accelerator Program.
He serves as a Community Board Member of The Deming Center for Entrepreneurship CU Boulder. A Community Leader with Techstars, he organizes weekend-long startup training events. He is the producer of the WyoHackathon conference and runs marketing for the Blockchain(ge) DC conference. He volunteers at Rockies Venture Club events and their yearly Colorado Capital Conference. He mentors promising startups seeking capital at the RVC Hyperaccelerator.
Rich expatriated to Europe with HP and attended Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh, Scotland, 4 years studying an International MBA with a Marketing focus.
