Sherry L

If business has an essence, it’s marketing—and I love being in the middle of it! Understanding all the whats, whys, whos, hows, and wheres; putting all that information together into compelling communications; and finally tabulating the results, is absolutely fascinating. Whether it’s writing or editing (my specialties), strategic planning, or PR, in the end it’s all about human behavior. That’s why, after 25 years, I’m still engaged. Each project is a different audience and a new challenge.

My experience spans startups to Fortune 500s, and every imaginable industry, including: high tech, Internet, financial services, healthcare, energy, manufacturing and retail. I’ve experienced marketing from all sides, as internal marketing director and outside consultant—not to mention customer—adding these various insights and perspectives to projects.

My education (however unplanned) has provided endless support for a career in marketing. I have a master’s degree in organizational communication and bachelor’s degree in English, both from the University of Colorado in Boulder.
